students, teachers, creative practitioners, universities and government agencies in

Creative Learning and Theatre Education

Creative Partnerships - The MAP has played a key role in pioneering the development of creative learning in schools. We have strong links with 4 Creative Partnerships areas and with National Office. Our professional development programmes for teachers and artists include tools for developing new practice, creative consultation with young people, designing, tracking and evaluating programmes for creative learning, mentoring and consultation, creative leadership for Head Teachers. The work is experiential, rigorous and impactful. Projects include; Two four month training and development programmes with Thames Gateway, CPD programmes for Kent, London North and London West, conferences for Thames Gateway, Tendring and Hastings, seminars and presentations to the DFES and Arts Council.

Theatre Education – The MAP is committed to delivering high quality work in schools, with teachers and with students of theatre education practice. The MAP undertakes action research projects with partners in the UK and internationally. Specialist areas include; Shakespeare, Devising, Stagecraft, Physical Theatre, Theory and Practice. Projects include collaborations with; Shakespeare Schools Festival, Central School of Speech and Drama, The Barbican Centre, Clwyd Theatr Cymru.
